Transfers Vs Taxi:

Transfer services are (by local regulation in fact) prearranged in nature and meant to be at the required time and points of origin as per client specification, generally anywhere on the island, in some cases companies will have a service specific area. Pricing in most cases will have a base that includes a minimum amount of passenger and incremental options after that varying from company to company and the total passengers count, vehicles and/or amenities required without a limit on the maximum other than the designated or required vehicle can carry. For a single service you may contract multiple vehicles to accommodate big groups and events.

Generally Taxis are available and a good option for your transportation as well which mainly consist of your regular any time hail and on site vehicle that on the island can take up to 7 passengers (with or without luggage) and charge a set price per trip. Also keep in mind that during peak times and on special dates like national holydays they might be harder to come by. If your group has more than 7 passengers you will need multiple taxis regardless of the size of the vehicle. All registered and authorized taxis must have a “TX-” number plate. Majority of taxi drivers will only accept cash as payment, with a few exceptions being able to process some forms of electronic transactions be it POS or alternative digital wallets. Always ask ahead if you need or want to use cards or electronic payments.
